Every card (except for Problem cards) has a printed power value in the top-right corner. Power means different things for different cards:
- Players use the power value of a character (which also has a color associated with it) in order to confront Problems, participate in faceoffs, and meet the play requirements of their other cards. It is possible for a character (through game text) to have negative total power, but while doing any of the above actions a negative total power is treated as 0.
- Troublemakers use their power value in Troublemaker faceoffs against their opponent’s characters.
- Each card in a player’s draw deck (Friends, Events, Resources and Troublemakers), when flipped from the draw deck during a faceoff, adds its printed power to that player’s total power towards winning the faceoff.
