  • I am thinking the Ban List should have its own page and banned cards should also be in a Banned Cards category. Should the comment about them being banned from organized play as-of X date be under Errata or Rulings?

  • Did you help create this wiki? I was wondering, because your screen name says you're a founder. Please post the answer on your wall. Thanks!

    • I an the person who originally did make this wiki a year ago, but in the year following its creation we've had a handful of regular users who have contributed with keeping it up-to-date with information.

  • EnterPlay posted a print-your-own Primer deck of cards that contains some reprints of older cards and many new cards. I extracted the jpg files from it and I will upload them as place-holders for the decks they go in. Do we also want a release page for the Primer deck itself?

    • Card pages posted. They need image sources and any categories (if we add unreleased cards to categories).

    • I'll get those done before my bedtime, half of them looked like they were from Twilight Time/Winter Wrap Up anyways. Merry Christmas! :)

  • See https://www.facebook.com/groups/mlpccgrules/permalink/565226840275997/ What should we call this mini set of Collector's Boxes/Tins? "Trevor McGregor: The symbol is a generic symbol. There are three or four tins/boxes in the next 10 days. All of them except one have a new card in them."

So far it consists of: 7F Pie Sisters, Two of a Kind 9F Defenders of Equestria, Royal Pony Sisters

Maybe label it "Sisters Set" or "Team Set"? Or leave it unnamed until we see more cards?

Also, since these cards are "F" not "PF", should they be included on the Promos page? They seem like Promo cards (like the other tins/binder), so I think they should be on the Promo page.

    • That Facebook thread may be the best place to influence what that name might be. Since the devs at this point just called it Generic Fixed symbol there. I think bringing it up there might be good, maybe suggest the best you like from here?

    • I made a post in the original comment thread, no one seemed to respond to it specifically.

  • So now that we have the OCR/Comp Rules out and scans for most of the cards, the next logical thing to do would be to add rulings for the new cards and also update rulings for previous cards. Rather than immediately updating them, let's all maybe take a week to just think them over; think of which cards need new/updated rulings, and try to think of if there would be a way to template them so that we can add them multiple times easily enough.

I know that I've been saying this a lot but it is worth repeating: Whenever possible, I would prefer if that instead of linking to the source of an external ruling on a website such as Facebook, Twitter or Reddit, we can instead link to the OCR and add tooltips as needed. In an ideal world, a user should not have to leave this site/a card's article page in order to find out the source of rulings about a card.

  • I'll start back from the front again on the cards, happy editing! (I was hoping for some free time tonight...)

  • I really think we should have only one page per card, no matter how many times it has been released. We can already list the different releases on the current card template and add navigation sections at the bottom for each card release. Just need to edit the template to support displaying more than one card image. What do you think?

Looks like adding more images works ok, breaks the navigation though. Mind taking a look at http://mlpccg.wikia.com/wiki/MLP_CCG_Wikia_Test_Page

    • Then the sub pages would still be on their own seperate pages, which is no different than the current system in place. Tomorrow I'll look into if we can remove the link on the SA/Cadance UR, kind of preoccupied tonight.

    • Yes, I was just saying for organization it might be nice if the alternate releases were sub-pages.

Bronley, since I think you might have the most free time out of any of us, if you're going to update stuff today please do the release template tables first, I've noticed a problem where the tables on existing card pages don't update properly when we update the table later. I'll try to get the gallery pages done before/after school today.

    • release tables updated. They show red links until the card pages are created though. Might need to do some &action=purge on any pages that act wonky, or let the cache catch up by itself.

    • I am going to (have dinner first and then) start populating the new card pages with information such that people can easily fill them in come this weekend. I'll start from the beginning of the list, so if anyone wants to start at the same time I'd recommend working from the end of the table, or do the promo table first or something.

    • Solution! Use { { Tooltip|Snips and Snails, Problem Solvers|Snips & Snails, Problem Solvers}} (and create a redirect from Snips and Snails, Problem Solvers->Snips & Snails, Problem Solvers)

  • How can we get the tooltip to work for cards with & in the name? For example, http://mlpccg.wikia.com/wiki/Snails

      Loading editor
    • The key to fixing it is probably somewhere in the Common.js code, but I've tried messing around with it and haven't been able to figure out a solution.

Worst-case scenario, you could take the code that enables the tooltip functionality in the CardTemplates/Article template, move it into its own template, and add exceptions for the specific cards with & in their names. It'd be a little inefficient but could still work.
